2018 Polaris Slingshot SL Icon CAL
Three wheels. A steering wheel instead of bars. A roll hoop over your head and a whole lot of nothing between you and the Ozark afternoon. That's a Polaris Slingshot.
Ours is a 2018 SL Icon CAL Edition in custom Dragon Green. It runs a 2.4-liter four with a 5-speed manual gearbox, Bluetooth audio, LED lighting, and that unmistakable open-cockpit growl.
Under Missouri law the Slingshot is an autocycle, not a motorcycle. A standard Class E driver's license is sufficient — no motorcycle endorsement needed. You'll want closed-toe shoes and sunglasses, and you'll probably want a second lap out of sheer delight.
